About Us
Eltham Green Nursery was originally set up in 1991 by the governors of Eltham Green secondary school to provide childcare for teaching staff within the Royal Borough of Greenwich and was situated on school grounds. We are a small term time setting. We work in partnership with parents to build strong foundations for our children's inquisitive minds!
Since 2014, Eltham Green Nursery has resided in Alderwood Road SE9. We now cater for the local community too.
We are a term time nursery offering full day care, together for two placements, 15 hour universal funded places as well as 30 hour funded places.

We are a team of qualified, experienced and caring practitioners who are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable in the development of children.
We are adapting our environment to represent the 'Hygge' lifestyle of natural coloured tones and low lighting within the setting. One of the managers- Michelle, has recently started the 'Hygge in the Early Years' accreditation.

This room focuses on the needs of our youngest children to promote their personal, social & emotional, communication & language and physical skills.
The children enjoy a variety of activities especially sensory for their young developing minds.

Within this room staff support children and promote their independence, encouraging own choice and the freedom to express themselves.
Daily activities focus upon all areas of the EYFS paying particular attention to building relationships and developing communication.

As children prepare for their transition to school this room largely provides a more focused routine discussing rules, boundaries and emotions as well as literacy and numeracy.
All activities are carefully planned around the children's interests and abilities.
